Role & Responsibilities
As a Head Constable (Ministerial), you are the backbone of BSF's office operations. Your day-to-day duties include:
Typing and documentation – Preparing official letters, reports, and records with speed and accuracy

Data entry – Updating records in computer systems
Office correspondence – Handling incoming and outgoing official communication

Basic Eligibility (Quick Look)
Education: 12th Pass from recognized board
Age: 18 to 25 years
Skill: Typing proficiency required
Nationality: Indian citizen.
Selection Process
This is the first and most important hurdle.
PST involves verification of height, chest, and weight as per the prescribed standards.
Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
After PST, you face the fitness test.
Stage 3 – Written Examination (CBT)
This is the main exam where your knowledge is tested.
The BSF HC (Ministerial) written examination is a 100 marks objective type test with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for 1 mark each.
Stage 4 – Skill Test (Typing Test)
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on a computer. This test is qualifying in nature.
They must type a given passage within 10 minutes.
