The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has introduced a mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) system for all candidates. You must complete this profile setup before you can officially apply for the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE) 4.0. ​Here is the step-by-step process to successfully complete your OTR and prepare for the TRE 4.0 application form. ​Phase 1: Initial OTR Registration ​1. Visit the Official Portal ​Go to the official BPSC online application website: bpsconline.bihar.gov.in. ​Click on "One Time Registration (OTR)" or "New Registration". ​2. Enter Fundamental Details ​Fill in your Candidate Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Date of Birth, Category, and Gender. ​Important Note: The name, date of birth, and parents' names filled in at this stage cannot be changed later. Ensure they match your 10th-grade certificate exactly. ​3. Identity Proof & DigiLocker ​Select your ID Proof (Aadhaar Card is highly recommended) and enter its details. ​You will be redirected to the Meri-Pehchaan (DigiLocker) portal. Log in using your mobile number (or create an account if you don't have one). ​Verify your Aadhaar via OTP so the system can securely fetch and verify your documents. ​4. Contact Verification & Password ​Provide an active Email ID and Mobile Number. ​Click to receive OTPs for both, and enter them to verify your contact details. ​Create a secure password to finalize the initial registration. ​Phase 2: Building Your Profile ​Once registered, log back into the portal using your credentials (Mobile Number/Email ID and your new password). ​1. Fill in Remaining Information ​Address Details: Enter your permanent and correspondence addresses. ​Qualifications: Add your educational history one by one (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation, B.Ed/D.El.Ed, and CTET/STET details). Click "Add" after filling out each qualification. ​Other Details: Note down any prior teaching experience or standard declarations regarding criminal history. ​2. Live Photo & Signatures ​Live Photo: You must use a clear webcam to take a live picture of yourself. Make sure you are in a well-lit room and are not wearing a hat, mask, or thick glasses. ​Signatures: Upload scanned copies of your signature in both English and Hindi. Ensure the file size is under 20 KB (Dimensions: roughly 150-220px width and 250-320px height). ​3. Lock Profile ​Review all your details using the preview function. If everything is accurate, click to lock and save your profile. ​Phase 3: Applying for TRE 4.0 ​After your OTR is completed and the BPSC TRE 4.0 application window officially opens (expected to activate shortly in February/March 2026): ​Log into your BPSC dashboard. ​Go to the New Application tab. ​Find the "School Teacher Competitive Examination (TRE 4.0)" advertisement and click Check Advertisement Criteria. ​Submit your application for the specific post (Primary, Middle, TGT, or PGT) and pay the application fee (₹750 for General/OBC/Other State; ₹200 for SC/ST/PwD/Female Bihar residents).
